Fissure Sealants
Fissure sealants are a plastic coating applied to chewing surfaces and sides of teeth to protect against the risk of decay. The back teeth have grooves or fissures which may be difficult to clean with a toothbrush and provides an environment for bacteria and food to reside which eventually causes decay. This procedure is pain-free and does not require injections or drilling.
