Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a process that lightens stains in the enamel and dentine of your teeth, to give a brighter tooth colour. We have 2 options for teeth whitening:
1. Take home whitening system - using a whitening gel placed into a customised tray which is placed over your teeth. This is worn during the day or at night - you choose.
2. Zoom - 2 hour whitening system using a patented light in the dental practice.
Before having your teeth whitened, a routine check-up of all your teeth is required so the dentist can check to ensure your teeth are suitable to be treated. Different teeth may whiten at different rates depending on the location and intensity of the stain and the hardness of the tooth. Some people experience tooth or gum sensitivity during treatment which goes away after stopping the treatment. Over time your teeth may lose some of their whiteness therefore you may need to repeat the process occasionally.
